What do I need to get started?
A compatible streaming app or encoder, an approved StreamHosting account, and the server URL and stream key from each destination you want to use.
Do I need to keep the dashboard open?
No. After the relay and destinations are configured, you stream from your usual app or device. Return to the dashboard only when you want to change something or view the connection status.
Does StreamHosting record my stream?
No. Your live signal is forwarded, not recorded. Only fallback media that you upload or create is stored for use during an interruption.
Is StreamHosting Cloud OBS?
No. We do not run OBS or render scenes in the cloud. Your own app or encoder produces the stream; StreamHosting handles transport, forwarding, and disconnect protection.
How much does access cost?
Relay access is free during early access. Requests are reviewed manually so the available server capacity stays reliable for active users.
