FAQ

The short answers.

What is StreamHosting?

A hosted SRT relay for mobile and IRL streams. It will receive your encoder feed and forward it to a streaming destination.

Why SRT?

SRT is designed to recover from packet loss and network changes while keeping latency low—useful when a stream travels over mobile connections.

Which encoders can I use?

Any app or hardware encoder that can send a standard SRT stream. Connection details will be available in your dashboard.

Which destination comes first?

Twitch is the first planned output. More destinations can follow after the core relay is stable.

Is the relay live already?

Not yet. The dashboard is available in early access while the first relay node is being prepared and tested.

Do I need a domain?

No. During early development, the website and dashboard can be reached through the current server address.
